Context

Mohan Babu University (MBU) set out to transition from a private institution to a nationally recognized university. The challenge: scale intake, strengthen placements, and build global credibility.

Approach

Leadership set ambitious targets for accreditations and placements, creating accountability across teams. Simultaneously, new global alliances (Penn State, RWTH Aachen, UW-Madison) and innovative academic programs energized the ecosystem. The dual push of strong governance and aspirational partnerships created the momentum for rapid transformation.

Results

Student strength scaled from 7,000 → 17,000+.

Placements reached 86% with 3,100+ offers in 2024.

Achieved NAAC A+, QS I-Gauge Diamond, and AICTE–CII Platinum accreditations.

Ranked 151–200 in NIRF 2024.
